2012 Indian Models

Indian Motorcycles, recently acquired by Polaris, has released images of three new models for 2012. All based on the Chief Chassis, they are distinguished by paint and metal finishes, as well as leather saddlebags on the Chief Vintage. All are powered by the air cooled pushrod Power Plus 105ci engine, which features a closed loop, sequential, port injection with heated oxygen sensors. A six speed transmission is mated to the engine via chain, and a belt drives the rear wheel.
The frame is a monoshock unit, and there are dual calipers up front, and a single in the rear, with floating rotors fore and aft. The 16-inch wheels are spoked. All bikes feature a solo saddle with fringe. Air-brushed pinstripes and signature Indian script complete the custom quality paint on each and every Indian Motorcycle.
